Eden Restored: South Asia

$2,222.00

The South Asian garden features a groom tightly embracing his bride underneath a mango tree. A Bengal tiger prowls behind them next to the lotus, and a peacock flashes its feathers below. Other flowers surrounding them include the Himalayan bellflower, Himalayan marsh orchid and fragrant orchid, hibiscus, morina longiflora, and neelakurinji.

The most populous country in this region, and in fact the world, is India. During my trip to India I was captivated by a glowing orange sunset, and I chose to highlight this color in the painting. According to the orange color, the biblical gemstone I associated with this region is topaz. South Asia is a colorful region full of many languages and people groups, sights, smells, and sounds.

Approximately 3ft x 7ft (.91x2.13m) Acrylic and dye on silk. The dyes have been set permanently using a steam-setting process. The top includes a sewn-in compartment for inserting a rod or wire for hanging.

As seen in NYC, Paris, and Tokyo

Please note: This painting along with the entire Eden Restored collection is reserved for exhibition until December 31, 2025. You are encouraged to pay in installment using Klarna or Afterpay. If purchased before December 31, 2025, you will receive the painting in January 2026. Additional international shipping fees may apply.
